Hydro Excavation

Hydro excavation is a type of vacuum excavation that uses high pressure water to cut into dirt / ground and then vacuuming away the slurry. This type of excavation is very precise and safe. Hydro excavation is beneficial when speed is a priority or large trenching is necessary. It allows operators to dig deeper, wider, and faster. Hydro excavation can also be used to dig in colder weather by using heated water to cut through frozen ground. This method of excavation also works in remote, hard to access locations, as the truck hoses can stretch up to 300 feet.

Hydro excavation can be utilized for:

  • Safe digging around utilities

  • Remote, hard to access work

  • Frozen ground

  • Potholing

  • Daylighting / test pits

  • Debris removal

  • Trenching

  • Culvert clean-outs

  • Pole and piling holes
