Air Excavation

Air excavation is a type of vacuum excavation that entails using high pressure air to cut into dirt / ground and then vacuuming away the dry dirt. This type of excavation is safer and more precise than traditional excavation. Air excavation is beneficial because it allows for the soil to be immediately used as backfill. Some jobs also require this type of excavation. This method of excavation also works in remote, hard to access locations, as the truck hoses can stretch up to 200 feet.

Air excavation can be utilized for:

  • Remote, hard to access work

  • Potholing

  • Daylighting / test pits

  • Debris removal

  • Trenching

  • Culvert clean-outs

  • Pole and piling holes

  • Immediate backfilling
